Concerts under the Willow Tree
Concerts under the Willow Tree (From mid-May to the end of September).
This is probably the longest standing artistic event of its type in Warsaw. Chopin concerts have been held at the Frederic Chopin monument in £azienki Królewskie Park for some 48 years, transforming the place into Warsaw's greatest summer outdoor "music hall" and the artistic face of the city.
All greatest national and foreign pianists, from Barbara Hesse - Bukowska, Krystian Zimerman, Dang Tai Sona, to the young winner of the International Piano Competition, Rafa³ Blechacz, perform twice every Sunday throughout the Chopin Concert season.
Chopin Concerts have educated and delighted serveral generations of music lovers, both in Poland and abroad. Each concert draws audiences of over 3000 - amounting to in excess of 120 000 listeners over the course of just one season. The biggest Polish and foreign companies have shown their appreciation of both the great artistic talent and equally the marketing value these concerts present with their sponsorship.
